They may also be responsible for maintaining safety standards and reporting any issues or irregularities to supervisors.

Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments, organizational objectives, and regulatory requirements.

The principal internal auditor reports to the audit committee and the vice-chancellor, and liaises with senior management and external auditors.
