Job Description
The Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for leading, designing, implementing, and maintaining the risk management and compliance framework for dfcu Limited and its non-bank entities. The role ensures the holding company discharges its obligations to various regulators and provides the Board with an independent, consolidated view of the Group's risk and compliance profile.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and obtain Board approval for the risk management framework, risk taxonomy, and risk appetite statement.
- Maintain the risk register and monitor top and emerging risks across strategic, financial, and operational areas.
- Facilitate risk and control self-assessments and monitor adherence to internal control standards.
- Maintain the regulatory obligations register and operate horizon scanning for regulatory changes.
- Design and execute a risk-based compliance monitoring and testing programme.
- Oversee compliance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act and anti-bribery and whistleblowing arrangements.
- Act as the Money Laundering Control Officer and Data Privacy Officer for dfcu Limited and non-bank subsidiaries.
- Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk mitigation measures.
- Promote risk awareness and a culture of accountability through training and workshops.
- Prepare periodic risk and compliance reports, dashboards, and analytics for Management and Board Committees.
