Grading and Assessment
Grading Assignments: Assist in grading homework, quizzes, exams, essays, and other assessments, ensuring consistency and fairness in marking.
Providing Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to students on their work, helping them understand their mistakes and improve their performance.
Managing Records: Keep accurate records of student grades, attendance, and participation, and assist in maintaining the course's online learning management system.
Student Support
Office Hours: Hold regular office hours to provide additional support to students, answer their questions, and clarify course material.
Study Sessions: Organize and lead study groups or review sessions before exams, helping students prepare and address any areas of confusion.
Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to students, offering advice on academic challenges, study habits, and time management.
Administrative Duties
Course Material Preparation: Assist the instructor in preparing course materials, such as handouts, slides, and online resources.
Attendance and Participation Tracking: Monitor student attendance and participation, keeping records that may contribute to their final grade.
Communication: Help manage communication between students and the instructor, answering emails, and addressing routine inquiries.
Assisting with Research (If Applicable)
Research Support: In some cases, TAs may assist with the instructor's research, including data collection, literature reviews, or other tasks as needed.
Library and Resource Management: Help gather and organize research materials for the instructor or for course-related projects.
Exam and Assignment Preparation
Proctoring Exams: Assist in administering exams by proctoring, distributing exam papers, and ensuring academic integrity during the test.
Assignment Creation: Help create or modify assignments and exams under the guidance of the instructor.
A minimum of a Masters degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational and Industrial Psychology or Management or Organizational Development or Public Administration and Management (HR option) or MBA (HR option)
Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
Bachelor of Human Resource Management or Social Sciences. business Studies, or Public Administration, or Social Works and Administration.
Should have at least eight (8) years of experience in human resource management, four (4) of which at a senior level in a public institution.
Membership with HR professional body is an added advantage
Experience and Competences
Leadership and supervisory skills in planning, organizing and coordination HR
Ability to build, lead and work with teams.
Computer literacy.
Interpersonal & communication skills.
Quick judgement and decision making.
Record keeping skills
Ability to initiate change.
