1. Introduction

Welcome to AfriCareers.net. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, content, and services (collectively, the "Service"). In some cases, AfriCareers may verify your email or phone number, and for organizations, we may validate business information (e.g., TIN or company registration).

  • Keep your account credentials secure.

  • Notify AfriCareers of any unauthorized access to your account.

  • Be responsible for any activity conducted through your account.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@africareers.net. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms,

  • We believe your use is harmful to the platform, or

  • Your account remains inactive for more than six (6) months.

3. Use of Services and Content

AfriCareers grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for career-related purposes only.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • All content developed by AfriCareers or its partners ("AfriCareers Content") is protected by intellectual property rights.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or modify AfriCareers Content without permission.

  • You may access third-party content ("External Content") via the platform, but AfriCareers does not own or control such content.

You may upload personal or organizational data ("User Data") to the platform. By doing so, you grant AfriCareers a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use and distribute your User Data for the sole purpose of delivering the Service.

4. Mobile Applications

Where applicable, AfriCareers may provide a mobile application (the “App”). Unless governed by separate terms, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the App solely for accessing our services. You may not reverse engineer, modify, or sublicense the App.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in accordance with applicable laws.

  • Maintain only one individual account.

  • Use your account solely for legitimate career or talent recruitment purposes.

  • Ensure that all content or data you submit is lawful, non-deceptive, and respectful of others’ rights.

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

  • Use the platform for fraudulent or misleading content (including false tenders or job listings).

  • Upload viruses or spam.

  • Attempt to extract data through automated means or scraping tools.

AfriCareers reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

6. No Government Affiliation Disclaimer

AfriCareers.net is not affiliated with any government entity.

We do not sell government bid documents or act on behalf of government institutions.

All procurement or job listings posted on AfriCareers.net are for informational purposes only, unless explicitly stated. Members and visitors are urged to verify opportunities independently and exercise due diligence.

7. Agreement Checkbox on Registration

During account registration, users are required to acknowledge agreement with these Terms of Use by checking an acceptance box labeled:

“I have read and agree to AfriCareers.net's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.”

This checkbox is a legally binding declaration of your acceptance of all platform terms, policies, and disclaimers.

8. Data & Content Responsibility

You retain ownership of all User Data uploaded to AfriCareers.net, but AfriCareers is not responsible for its loss, misuse, or removal. We recommend that users keep backups of important content.

AfriCareers does not guarantee that deleted data can be restored once removed from the Service.

9. Monitoring and Enforcement

AfriCareers may, at its sole discretion:

  • Monitor content submitted to the platform.

  • Remove content that violates our Terms.

  • Restrict access to certain users or content.

  • Cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory bodies where required.

10. Service Availability

AfriCareers strives to maintain uninterrupted access to the platform. However, we do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or available at all times.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
