Job Description
The Team Leader – Bancassurance role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of Bancassurance Sales Officers, developing and implementing strategic sales plans, supporting customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. The Team Leaders will be based in Central, Eastern, Western, West Nile, and Northern Uganda and will report on team performance, coordinate cross-functional efforts with bank branches and internal teams, and provide training and mentorship to drive business growth.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and mentor Bancassurance Sales Officers.
Monitor individual and team performance against sales targets and KPIs.
Develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns.
Support customer acquisition and relationship management within the bank's customer base.
Resolve complex customer issues and concerns.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, insurance regulations, and standards.
Prepare and submit regular performance and sales reports.
Maintain strong product knowledge and conduct staff training sessions.
Collaborate with bank branches and marketing teams to optimize sales efforts.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
Experience:
3–5 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in bancassurance or financial services.
Proven ability to manage high-performing sales teams and meet/exceed targets.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of insurance and bancassurance models.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).
COP (Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance) is an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and travel as needed.
