Job Description
The Team Leader – Bancassurance will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Bancassurance Sales Officers. The incumbent will develop sales strategies, monitor performance, train and mentor the team, manage customer relationships, ensure compliance with insurance regulations, and work collaboratively with internal departments and bank branches to grow the bancassurance portfolio. The position requires travel to various regions and a results-oriented approach to team and business management.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and coach Bancassurance Sales Officers to enhance performance.
Monitor individual and team KPIs and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Develop and implement sales strategies to boost product uptake.
Analyze market trends and adjust tactics to remain competitive.
Assist team members in achieving and exceeding their targets.
Identify new customer opportunities within the bank’s clientele.
Maintain and nurture relationships with key clients to promote customer loyalty.
Resolve complex customer concerns as the point of escalation.
Ensure full compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
Submit detailed sales performance and insight reports to management.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of insurance products and offerings.
Conduct regular training and refresher sessions for the sales team.
Collaborate with branch and marketing teams to improve sales outcomes.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
Experience:
3–5 years in a sales leadership role, preferably in bancassurance or financial services.
Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and achieving sales goals.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Thorough understanding of insurance products and bancassurance operations.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute results-driven plans.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Additional Requirements:
Certification in insurance (COP) is an added advantage.
Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively.
Willingness to travel to assigned branch locations.
