Job Description
The Unit Manager will be responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining sales agents, coordinating the distribution of Individual Life Products within the unit, and analyzing the market to recommend product improvements. The role involves motivating and managing sales agents to achieve unit sales targets, designing promotional activities to increase product awareness, and ensuring ongoing training on products and procedures. The Unit Manager will work closely with the Agency Manager to meet and exceed performance goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and retain a motivated team of sales agents.
Coordinate the distribution of Individual Life Products within the assigned unit.
Conduct market analysis and propose product improvements to the Agency Manager.
Ensure unit sales targets are met or exceeded.
Provide continuous and thorough training for sales agents on products and procedures.
Maintain high motivation and performance levels among sales agents.
Design and implement promotional activities to increase product awareness.
Monitor and report on performance metrics and sales results.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any business-related field.
Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance or any professional sales/marketing qualification is an added advantage.
Valid IRA Agent License.
Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in the Insurance Industry.
Strong communication, negotiation, computer literacy, supervision, and training skills.
Clear understanding of Life Assurance products and processes.
