Job Description
Position: Recruitment Officer

Job Purpose
The Recruitment Officer will be responsible for identifying, screening, and onboarding qualified individuals for security guard positions. Working in collaboration with local authorities, police, and internal teams, the role ensures a steady pipeline of vetted and competent recruits that align with both company standards and client requirements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans, particularly in upcountry regions and urban centers.
Partner with local council leaders, police, and community influencers to source potential candidates.
Conduct initial screening, vetting, and background checks—including verification of criminal records and local council (LC) recommendations.
Assess candidates’ physical fitness, personal discipline, and eligibility (e.g., academic qualifications, age, and health).
Collect and authenticate necessary documentation such as National IDs, LC letters, reference letters, and passport photos.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all recruitment activities.
Build and maintain a strong network of recruitment contacts in key districts.
Prepare and submit timely recruitment reports to HR and management.
Monitor recruitment metrics including target achievements, retention rates, and field-related challenges to guide planning and resource allocation.
Represent the company positively during recruitment drives and community interactions.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Key Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, planning, and coordination, especially within the security or labor services sector.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Knowledge of Uganda’s labor laws, recruitment best practices, and ethical standards.
Strong organizational and reporting skills with attention to detail.
Ability to make sound judgments, manage pressure, and resolve field challenges effectively.
Familiarity with both urban and rural recruitment dynamics.
Excellent communication skills in English and at least three major local languages.
Willingness to travel extensively within the country.
Minimum Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in guard recruitment, preferably in the private security or labor service industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital reporting tools.
High levels of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality standards.
