Job Description
The Import & Export Coordinator will handle all aspects of importing and exporting goods to and from Kenya. This includes overseeing logistics operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, estimating landed costs, and maintaining accurate stock levels. The successful candidate will also work closely with storekeepers to manage inventory, communicate with suppliers, prepare purchase orders, and input data into the ERP system. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and experience with customs regulations and shipping processes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage all import and export operations to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth logistics
Estimate and track landed costs for all imported goods
Monitor and plan stock levels to ensure timely procurement and prevent shortages
Collaborate with storekeepers to manage diverse inventory items
Establish and maintain supplier communication and sourcing activities
Prepare, file, and track purchase orders
Accurately input and update data in the ERP system
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Proven experience in import/export coordination and management
Strong understanding of Kenyan and East African customs and shipping regulations
Ability to estimate and track landed costs accurately
Experience in stock monitoring and inventory planning
Proficiency in ERP systems and accurate data entry
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
