Job Description
Reporting to the Deputy Director – Supply Chain Management, the Supply Chain Management Assistant II will be responsible for the preparation and management of procurement documents, supplier contracts, inventory tracking, inspection of delivered goods, maintenance of procurement records, and support in quotation and tender processes. The role requires precision, adherence to procurement laws, and timely execution of supply chain activities to ensure operational efficiency at the Commission.

Prepare LPOs and LSOs for management approval
Manage supplier contracts and ensure accurate filing
Monitor inventory and manage stores
Receive and inspect goods and services for compliance with specifications
Compile user specifications to ensure correct deliveries
Distribute quotation requests to source quality suppliers
Maintain procurement activity files and registers
Assist in preparation and dispatch of quotation and bid documents
Undertake quotation analysis to ensure value for money
Track implementation of LPOs and LSOs and report any delays
Draft reminder letters to suppliers for delayed deliveries
Compile procurement data for mandatory reporting
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Experience: 4 years of relevant work experience
Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Other Requirements:
KCSE mean grade of C or equivalent
Membership with the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM)
Certificate in computer applications
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Familiarity with public procurement procedures
