This role blends hands-on execution with strategic leadership—owning everything from exceptional recruitment and legal compliance to performance systems and decentralised work readiness. You will build and implement HR systems that clarify who does what, when, and how—and ensure they work seamlessly.

Key Outcomes

  • Build efficient, data-driven hiring processes across all departments.

  • Strengthen Kijani’s employer brand and ensure an outstanding candidate experience.

3. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with Ugandan labour laws—including contracts, NSSF, disciplinary procedures, and employee exits.

  • Maintain audit-ready HR governance systems and documentation.

  • Oversee whistleblowing procedures and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.

4. Systems & Process Management

  • Lead the transformation of HR systems to support scaling operations.

  • Keep employee records accurate and up-to-date.

  • Continuously improve onboarding, offboarding, and internal movement processes.

  • Manage payroll review processes and ensure fair, timely, and well-documented compensation, benefits, and bonus systems.

  • Create and maintain clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all HR activities.

5. Performance & Internal Communication
