Job Description
The HR and Admin Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from posting job vacancies to onboarding new hires. The role involves sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and conducting reference checks. The Officer will also manage employee records, performance management processes, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.
Additionally, the role involves handling employee relations, promoting health and safety practices, and supporting training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage the complete recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
Source candidates through various channels and conduct initial assessments.
Schedule and coordinate interviews to ensure a smooth hiring process.
Conduct reference checks and background screenings for selected candidates.
Facilitate new hire orientation sessions to introduce employees to the organization.
Process new hire paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Ensure the completion of all onboarding tasks by new employees.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
Comply with document retention and confidentiality policies.
Update and manage HR databases and systems.
Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews.
Track and analyze employee performance data.
Assist in developing, communicating, and enforcing HR policies and procedures.
Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations.
Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely resolutions to issues.
Foster positive employee engagement and collaboration within the workplace.
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and addressing employee grievances.
Conduct investigations into complaints and disputes as needed.
Support the development and communication of health and safety policies.
Promote a safe and healthy work environment through training and adherence to standards.
Coordinate and support training sessions and workshops.
Monitor and track employee development activities.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Knowledge of HR principles and practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
Enthusiastic and willing to grow in the HR field.
Previous experience in an HR role is an added advantage but not mandatory.
