Job Description
TANROADS is hiring for multiple roles to ensure proper road maintenance and operations through effective weight control, financial management, and transportation logistics. Successful applicants will support the agency’s mission to maintain a safe and efficient road network and assist in achieving operational excellence across its departments.

How to Apply
Monitor and prepare for vehicles with GVW > 3,500 kg.
Enforce road damage fees for overloaded vehicles.
Verify compliance with abnormal load permits.
Evaluate the performance and safety of weighbridge scales.
Solve emerging problems affecting road operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Technician II – Weighbridge Operations (7 Posts)
Conduct vehicle weight control using weighbridge equipment.
Impose road damage fees for overloaded vehicles.
Measure physical dimensions of vehicles and loads.
Advise transporters as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Accounts Assistant I (2 Posts)
Prepare and issue cheques.
Collect and manage agency income.
Process and record payments and salaries.
Conduct bank reconciliations.
Update and maintain fixed asset registers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Driver II (2 Posts)
Drive agency motor vehicles safely.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
Deliver and collect mail and goods.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Weighbridge Officer: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Education, Psychology, or equivalent.
Technician II: Diploma or FTC in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, or related fields.
Accounts Assistant I: Diploma in Accountancy or Accounting Technician Certificate II (ATEC II) recognized by NBAA.
Driver II: Certificate of Secondary Education, Basic Driving Course from VETA, valid Driving License Grade C or E, and at least one year of proven driving experience.
General Conditions:
Must be a Tanzanian citizen, not older than 45 years.
