Job Description
Reporting to the Consulting Manager, the Senior will lead and deliver transaction advisory workstreams across M&A (buy/sell), divestitures, business valuations, financial DD, and restructuring. Responsibilities include advanced financial analysis and modeling, drafting high-quality reports (valuation opinions, restructuring plans, strategic recommendations), collaborating with clients to diagnose challenges and co-create solutions, supervising and coaching junior staff, ensuring compliance with professional/ regulatory standards, and supporting proposals and client relationship management. The role requires strong project management, presentation, and stakeholder skills in a multicultural team setting.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead/execute valuation, financial due diligence, and corporate restructuring engagements.
Build financial models; analyze historicals, forecasts, KPIs, risks and sensitivities.
Prepare clear deliverables: valuation reports, DD findings, restructuring plans, and presentations.
Engage clients to understand needs; provide tailored, insight-driven recommendations.
Supervise/mentor junior consultants; review work and provide feedback.
Ensure adherence to professional standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Support business development: proposals, scopes, credentials, and relationship management.
Work effectively within diverse, multicultural teams; uphold firm values and quality standards.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Professional qualification preferred: ACCA/CPA (Kenya); CFA is an added advantage.
3+ years audit experience and 2–3 years transaction advisory (valuation, restructuring, financial consulting).
Advanced Excel and financial modeling; data analytics exposure is a plus.
Strong analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills.
Proven multi-project management under tight timelines; high integrity and professional ethics.
Client-facing poise; team leadership/coaching capability; cultural sensitivity.
