Job Description
The Strategic Information and Analytics Advisor will design and implement data strategies, develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and ensure data quality across all public health supply chain and pharmaceutical systems. This position requires expertise in advanced data analysis, modeling, visualization, and integration of cross-sectoral data to inform decision-making. The Advisor will also provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic advisory support to government counterparts, partners, and internal teams. Additionally, the role involves translating complex findings into actionable recommendations, promoting a data-driven culture, and supporting interventions aimed at improving pharmaceutical services and patient safety.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement data collection, aggregation, analysis, and visualization strategies.
Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track supply chain and pharmaceutical system performance.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through quality assurance protocols.
Integrate data from multiple sources for holistic system analysis.
Build capacity of local teams in data analysis, interpretation, and use for decision-making.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to strengthen data literacy.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, government counterparts, and partners.
Communicate analytical findings through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
Support patient safety by analyzing trends in pharmaceutical services and commodity use.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
At least 5 years’ progressive experience in data analytics, monitoring and evaluation, or strategic information, preferably in public health supply chains.
Expertise in analytical tools such as R, Python, SQL, Tableau, STATA, Power BI, DHIS2, or ERP systems.
Proven experience in MEL plan operationalization and donor reporting.
Strong background in supply chain management, health finance, workforce development, or related areas (preferred).
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and build capacity of teams.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.
