Job Description
As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will play a central role in translating design concepts and business requirements into seamless, interactive user interfaces. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for end-to-end development processes, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of front-end systems. The role requires advanced knowledge of front-end frameworks, responsive design principles, and best practices in performance optimization and browser compatibility. You will also ensure adherence to established coding standards and actively participate in design discussions and problem-solving with the delivery team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end software solutions for web and mobile applications.
Translate design mockups and prototypes into functional, user-friendly interfaces.
Collaborate with business analysts, designers, and back-end developers to align software features with business needs.
Implement responsive design principles to ensure cross-platform and cross-device compatibility.
Optimize front-end performance and address browser compatibility issues.
Utilize version control systems and build tools to maintain efficient development practices.
Contribute to code reviews, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
Support deployment and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements to existing systems.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Education:
Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.
Preferred Education:
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years proven experience in front-end software development.
Experience in project delivery and implementation using modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
Knowledge:
Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Advanced programming concepts and application development.
Responsive design and mobile-first principles.
Front-end design patterns, build tools, and package managers.
Browser performance optimization and compatibility troubleshooting.
Version control and testing practices.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Relationship management and teamwork abilities.
Other Requirements:
Clear criminal and credit record.
