Job Description
The Consultant will gain an in-depth understanding of SRM products to deliver tailored financial solutions aligned with client goals. The role involves daily client engagements, cross-selling opportunities, managing persistency of payments, resolving client queries, and guiding clients through cancellations or alternative arrangements. The Consultant is also responsible for maintaining compliance with industry standards, logging activities, reporting on sales performance, and ensuring continuous personal development. In addition, the Consultant will contribute to branch performance through proactive risk management, client retention strategies, and maintaining quality service delivery in line with Sanlam’s values.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products to increase market share.
Assess client financial goals, needs, and means to provide suitable financial products.
Continuously update clients on new or updated products.
Conduct due diligence and validate client details as per product and regulatory requirements.
Submit new business through approved channels.
Manage and retain client profiles, ensuring persistency of payments.
Send reminders, follow up with clients, and manage NTUs (Not Taken Up clients).
Provide guidance on policy cancellations and offer alternatives.
Resolve client queries or escalate through the established framework.
Maintain compliance with quality, regulatory, and record-keeping requirements.
Monitor risks and report fraudulent activities.
Plan, log, and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities using relevant platforms.
Support branch manager with ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Matric (Grade 12) required.
At least 1 year of sales or marketing experience (insurance experience preferred).
RE5 advantageous.
FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
Class of Business training to be completed within 12 months of employment.

Strong understanding of financial products and compliance requirements.
Sales and business development abilities.
Client service and retention strategies.
Administration and processing of new/existing business.
Broker support and partnership building.
