Job Description
As a Senior Brand Manager: Culinary, you will report to a Marketing Manager or Director and be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand plans. You will leverage consumer insights to create compelling brand propositions, drive innovation, manage communication strategies, and monitor brand performance. The role entails cross-functional collaboration with marketing centers of excellence, sales teams, and external agencies to optimize the marketing mix, including product innovation, packaging, pricing, and promotional strategies.
You will:
Translate marketing insights into brand plans aligned with category strategy and growth objectives.
Monitor brand performance and financial targets.
Drive innovation and product/packaging renovation.
Lead consumer communication strategies with creative agencies.
Manage key brand activities including S&OP forecasting, media planning, and promotion tracking.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic brand plans based on market insights.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute innovation and renovation initiatives.
Manage creative agency partners to deliver effective communication strategies.
Set and manage brand pricing in collaboration with Revenue Management.
Track brand health, market share, and promotional performance.
Lead budgeting and marketing investment tracking.
Provide leadership in internal and external brand representation.
Execute brand initiatives across all relevant channels and consumer touchpoints.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
BBusSc or BCom degree (preferred)
Experience:
4+ years of brand and marketing experience within FMCG
Proven success in brand development and go-to-market strategies
Experience in customer-facing roles is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of consumer behavior and insights-driven decision-making
Excellent strategic thinking and financial acumen
Deep knowledge of route-to-market strategies across retail channels
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and marketing functions
Excellent communication and leadership skills
