Job Description
The Field Manager II will take full responsibility for managing a field team to achieve set objectives in sales, merchandising, and promotional execution. This includes maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships, providing strategic insights based on field data, and ensuring cost-effective operations. The role involves leadership and coaching of team members, managing new market innovations, and delivering exceptional in-store execution while meeting promotional and performance goals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and manage a field team to deliver on key sales and promotional KPIs
Implement and monitor promotional activities across the assigned territory
Drive operational excellence and process improvement
Monitor and report on new innovations and market trends
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and store managers
Achieve Point of Purchase (POP) objectives
Ensure efficient achievement of sales and execution targets
Manage and control operating expenses within set parameters
Analyse field performance data and derive actionable insights
Provide training, coaching, and motivation to team members
Maintain high standards of execution in accordance with company policy
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Relevant Diploma or Degree at NQF Level 6 or 7
3–5 years’ sales experience in the FMCG sector at a managerial or supervisory level
Code 8 Driver’s License
Strong sales management and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Problem-solving and analytical ability
High attention to detail and proactive mindset
Leadership and team management skills
Strong planning, organizing, and negotiation abilities
Business acumen and commercial awareness
Computer literate (MS Office and digital reporting systems)
