Job Description
The Digital Marketing Assistant will be responsible for managing Timberland’s social media presence, assisting in the planning and execution of digital advertising campaigns, coordinating marketing events, and supporting internal and external marketing communications. The ideal candidate will be digitally savvy, proactive, creative, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage and monitor social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Engage with followers and respond to comments and messages professionally
Collaborate with marketing team on content strategies and campaign planning
Create, schedule, and analyze social media posts and performance metrics
Support digital advertising campaigns and optimize based on performance
Assist in coordinating marketing events, including vendor management and logistics
Promote events via social media and email marketing
Assist with post-event evaluations and reporting
Maintain consistency in brand messaging across platforms and channels
Manage relationships with external partners, influencers, and vendors
Provide administrative and reporting support to the marketing department
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
1–2 years’ experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field
Experience in the retail or fashion industry is an advantage
Proficiency in social media platforms and management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
Basic knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook Ads
Familiarity with event planning and coordination
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and research skills for evaluating digital performance
Creative, energetic, flexible, and able to work under pressure
Self-starter, action-oriented, and adaptable
