Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Agronomist with strong technical agronomic expertise and proven sales and business development capability to support market expansion across Uganda. The role equally balances commercial growth and technical advisory support, serving as a key interface between customers, distributors, and internal operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and manage new and existing customers nationwide.
- Drive sales of exfoliated vermiculite, growing media mixes, peat moss, and perlite.
- Develop and execute territory-based sales plans aligned with company targets.
- Build strong relationships with commercial farms, nurseries, greenhouses, landscapers, and Agro-dealers.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and follow up on orders and collections.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
Technical Agronomic Support
- Provide technical advisory services on product application, crop suitability, and performance optimization.
- Conduct product demonstrations, on-farm trials, and customer training sessions.
- Support customers in diagnosing crop, soil, and substrate-related challenges.
- Collaborate with internal agronomy and production teams to refine products based on field feedback.
- Prepare technical reports, field visit summaries, and customer performance assessments.
