Job Description
Nzuri Furniture is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and support sound financial decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing financial analysis, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting audits. This role is ideal for a young professional looking to grow within a dynamic manufacturing and retail environment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Record and reconcile transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, payroll, and inventory-related costs.
- Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and timely preparation of statutory filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of accounting software and financial systems.
- Support continuous improvement of financial controls and accounting processes.
