Job Description

The Research Officer II will perform field data collection and computer data entry/cleaning; conduct spatial and statistical analyses; gather relevant literature; prepare research progress reports and draft manuscripts; train/supervise technicians; assist in planning specific projects; contribute to fundable research proposals and consultancy assignments; and perform other duties as assigned, in line with approved work plans and research ethics.

  • Master’s degree in Geoinformatics or Geomatics from a recognized institution, with Upper Second Class minimum or overall Grade B+ for unclassified degrees.

  • ~1 year relevant research exposure preferred.

  • Proficiency in GIS/remote sensing tools and data analysis; strong documentation and writing skills.

  • Organized, detail-oriented; able to work independently and in teams; strong communication skills; commitment to research ethics.
