Regional Sales Head job at Airtel Uganda

Job Description

The incumbent will:

  • Develop strategic and operational plans to drive B2B revenue and customer growth in the region.

  • Provide strategic support to enhance the delivery of regional B2B targets.

  • Establish procedures for setting and communicating sales, service delivery, and customer service targets, and monitor performance.

  • Deploy relevant metrics to monitor progress against targets and recommend remedial actions as necessary.

  • Lead the management of all B2B customers in the region, both directly and indirectly.

  • Ensure year-over-year increase in customer satisfaction scores for the B2B business in the region.

  • Implement governance frameworks to ensure timely service delivery and successful billing.

  • Manage collections and minimize debt for B2B customers in the region.

  • Resolve billing, reconciliation, and service penalty issues impacting revenue collection.

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities in the region and implement countermeasures.

  • Build and motivate a capable team to create a high-performance environment.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • ​Develop and implement strategic plans for B2B revenue growth.

  • Monitor and manage performance metrics to ensure target achievement.

  • Lead customer relationship management efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with billing and service delivery standards.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to support sales initiatives.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.​

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent.

  • MBA is an added advantage.​


Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 years in marketing, commercial, or strategy roles.

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.​


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proven track record in sales and customer relationship management.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans.

  • Leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.​
