Job Description
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing Medical Teams' portion of Health Funding from various donors, planning and ensuring implementation of all donor activities, and ensuring all aspects of the program cycles are carried out, including donor reports and partner management. The role also involves emergency response management within the country.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely implementation of planned activities and liaise with the program team for effective planning, execution and evaluation
- Monitor compliance with donor regulations applicable to projects implemented in the field
- Ensure all assets and constructions are labelled as per donor requirements
- Participate in project/proposal design, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and control
- Monitor overall budget expenditure and submit regular financial reports
- Track budget performance and analyze budget versus actuals across MTI locations
- Lead monthly report writing on project progress, obstacles and recommendations
- Lead donor report writing including gathering information and ensuring timely submission
- Develop Uganda-specific emergency preparedness and response plans
- Oversee direct implementation during emergencies including budgeting and SitReps
- Represent Medical Teams in coordination meetings with key donors, MoH, and other partners
- Coordinate diseases of outbreak potential reporting across MTI locations
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans in collaboration with the compliance team
