Job Description
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the daily operations of the laboratory department at the Kyaka field site, performing routine lab investigations to support diagnosis and patient care.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform routine laboratory investigations including hematology, parasitology, and microbiology tests
- Collect, label, and process specimens for analysis
- Prepare reagents and stains for laboratory use
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment ensuring proper calibration
- Record and report laboratory results accurately and timely
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with laboratory safety standards
- Manage laboratory supplies and maintain inventory
- Support infection prevention and control in the laboratory
