Job Description
The MEAL Assistant will contribute to MTI's mission by capturing reliable and up-to-date patient data, cleaning data, and preparing basic reports to inform decision making at the health facility level across Kyaka, Rwamwanja, and Palorinya refugee settlements.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist medical staff by capturing patient information in paper files and enter data in HIS/HMIS electronic and manual registers on a daily basis
- Perform basic data analysis and present performance trends to health facility staff
- Generate weekly and monthly data reports in accordance with reporting standards
- Mentor health facility staff in data management best practices
- Clean up data in the database to ensure quality, up-to-date and reliable information
- Participate in program surveys including KAP surveys, nutrition assessments, and patient exit interviews
- Enter MTI program outputs into national and donor reporting platforms (DHIS2, HIS)
- Ensure adequate stock of registers and reporting tools at health facilities
- Compile data for progress reports and donor reporting
