Job Title: Procurement Officer

As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement processes within NMS to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient acquisition of goods and services needed by the organization. The Procurement Officer will also ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations while ensuring transparency and accountability in all procurement activities.

How to Apply
Manage and oversee the procurement process for goods and services required by NMS.
Prepare procurement plans, including the preparation of bidding documents, specifications, and contract agreements.
Ensure compliance with all procurement policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.
Conduct market research and identify suitable suppliers and service providers.
Evaluate bids and quotations and assist in the negotiation of contracts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
Work closely with other departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of services.
Monitor contract performance and ensure suppliers meet agreed terms and conditions.
Ensure that procurement activities align with the strategic goals and operational requirements of NMS.

A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
A professional qualification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) will be an added advantage.
At least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a public sector or healthcare setting.
Sound knowledge of Uganda’s procurement laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement management software.
