People and Culture Manager job at FSD Uganda

Logistics & Office Management: Ensure that FSDU’s staff and key stakeholders are provided with administrative, logistical, and office-management support that will enhance their ability to deliver against FSDU’s goals and strategies
Strategy and Planning: Oversee the strategic management of FSDU’s physical and people resources; ensuring the development and implementation of effective policies, procedures and ways-of-working.
HR Talent Management: Take the lead in ensuring good talent management practices for FSD Uganda; so that the organisation will be resourced with appropriate numbers of competent and well-motivated staff.
Organisational Development, Culture & Change Management: Work together with the COO and Intervention Leads to develop empowering organization structures, people management systems, and an organisation climate that will lead to the engagement and motivation of staff.
Logistics & Office Management: Ensure that FSDU’s staff and key stakeholders are provided with administrative, logistical, and office-management support that will enhance their ability to deliver against FSDU’s goals and strategies
Degree:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
A Master’s degree in HR or an MBA with a focus on human resources is often preferred.
Experience
Professional Experience:
Several years (typically 5-10) of experience in human resources, with a track record of progressive responsibility.
Experience in HR leadership or managerial roles.
Experience in specific HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Skills
HR Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
Proficiency in HR software and systems, such as HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems).
Leadership and Management:
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
