Job Description
Reporting to the Deputy Director – Forensic Investigation, the Officer will undertake forensic investigations of corruption and unethical conduct involving financial fraud and irregularities. The officer will support court proceedings through the preparation of detailed investigation reports, tracing, preserving, and documenting assets subject to forfeiture or recovery, and work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the fight against corruption.

How to Apply
Investigating suspected cases of corruption and economic crimes
Tracing and documenting corruptly acquired assets
Preserving assets under investigation or likely to be subject to litigation
Compiling factual and evidence-based investigation reports
Supporting civil proceedings for the recovery of illegally acquired property or benefits
Upholding high ethical and professional standards in investigations and collaboration with prosecutorial authorities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance), Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from a recognized institution
CPA-K, ACCA, CISA, or CIA qualification
Membership in a relevant professional body
Experience:
At least five (5) years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in criminal investigations
Additional Requirements:
KCSE minimum grade of C+ or equivalent
Certificate in at least one of the following: Economic Crimes & Intelligence, Public Corruption Investigations, Basic Investigations, Governance & Ethics, Fraud Investigation & Prosecution, or Criminal Investigations (not less than 4 weeks)
Proficiency in computer applications
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Good understanding of forensic accounting and audit practices
Excellent report writing and communication skills
High integrity, ethical conduct, and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and in multidisciplinary teams
