Job Description
Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist
Organisation: Mkazipreneur
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Mkazipreneur is looking for an experienced M&E Associate to support the design, implementation, and management of M&E systems to track the effectiveness and impact of Mkazipreneur’s programs. The role involves data collection, analysis, reporting, and ensuring accountability and learning from all activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about fostering women’s economic empowerment.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of M&E frameworks, tools, and processes.
Conduct baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations for various projects.
Monitor program activities to ensure alignment with goals and objectives.
Gather quantitative and qualitative data from program beneficiaries and stakeholders.
Use data management software to clean, analyze, and interpret data.
Identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement based on data insights.
Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop visual dashboards and presentations to communicate program results.
Maintain a centralized database for program data and reports.
Train program staff and partners on M&E frameworks and tools.
Collaborate with the program team to integrate M&E findings into strategic decisions.
Provide feedback to stakeholders on program performance and progress.
Facilitate learning sessions to share M&E findings with internal teams.
Ensure that program outcomes are aligned with Mkazipreneur’s mission and values.
Promote accountability by tracking and documenting program progress and challenges.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree in Statistics, M&E, or related discipline.
5+ years of M&E experience in donor-funded projects.
Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, Power BI).
