Job Description
The Marketing Assistant will ensure accurate capturing and management of prospective student data across systems, campaigns, and reports. Responsibilities include database administration, ensuring marketing collateral is available, and assisting Student Advisors with lead management. The role also involves supporting open days, career fairs, and recruitment events. During peak periods, the Marketing Assistant will assist with outbound calls to prospective students. This position requires strong administrative and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within the recruitment and marketing teams.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing Administration
Capture prospective student details, applications, and appointment forms into STASY and other reports.
Input leads from various channels (interest cards, online applications, walk-ins, enquiries) into campaigns.
Prepare and maintain marketing database statistics and reports.
Manage marketing stock and promotional materials.
Ensure interview rooms are equipped with collateral.
Support Student Advisors with database admin and correspondence.
Maintain data integrity across systems, working with Sales Analysts to ensure accuracy.
General Activities
Assist in planning events such as open days and career fairs.
Conduct recruitment support calls during peak periods.
Perform ad hoc duties assigned by the Head: Student Recruitment.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Matric (essential).
Relevant 3-year Diploma/Degree recommended (not essential).
Experience
1–2 years’ administration experience.
Sales experience advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Accuracy in data capturing and typing.
Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel at intermediate level).
Problem-solving ability.
