Job Description
The Client Operations Enablement Manager will manage end-to-end client service delivery, from staffing shifts and enforcing health and safety to payroll accuracy and reporting. Responsibilities include managing operational teams, labour relations, invoicing, and client profitability while driving quality improvement initiatives. The role requires advanced employee relations experience, strong leadership, and the ability to act as the key liaison between BLU, clients, and unions. This position also involves mentoring teams, developing talent, and ensuring compliance with internal processes, audits, and legislation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operational Management
Ensure client shifts are fully staffed per contract requirements.
Monitor attendance, PPE issuance, and timekeeping systems.
Oversee payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Manage site costs (PPE, transport, training, medicals) in line with client pricing schedules.
Ensure housekeeping, health & safety, and IOD processes are compliant.
Compile client costings and negotiate annual increases.
Ensure compliance with SLAs, SOPs, corporate governance, and legislation.
Client Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with client management.
Attend client meetings and conduct regular site visits.
Provide monthly dashboard presentations and formal engagement reports.
Monitor client feedback via CSI reports and act on remedial actions.
Identify and escalate sales opportunities, reporting weekly to BRMs.
Collaborate with KAM and Tender teams to retain and grow accounts.
Employee & Labour Relations
Chair disciplinary hearings and manage escalated labour issues.
Prepare for CCMA cases and act as key company representative.
Liaise with unions, shop stewards, and clients to ensure harmonious relations.
Ensure ER documentation, processes, and reporting are compliant.
Stay updated on labour legislation, wage determinations, and industry trends.
Leadership & People Development
Mentor, coach, and develop direct reports.
Drive performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
Foster a positive, motivated, and productive work environment.
Ensure staff are appropriately trained and aligned to operational needs.
Financial & Reporting
Ensure invoicing accuracy and resolve debtors’ queries.
Monitor contract profitability and provide forecasts.
Analyse weekly stats per client, investigate irregularities, and provide solutions.
Ensure monthly CP% analysis templates are completed and profitability maintained.
Provide timely operational and client reports, including payroll and KPA reports.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Grade 12 (Matric) (essential).
Diploma or Degree in HR, Labour Relations, or Business Management (essential).
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ management experience.
Strong TES (Temporary Employment Services) experience.
Advanced Employee Relations (IR) experience.
High flexibility and adaptability in operations.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring ability.
Excellent knowledge of labour legislation and disciplinary processes.
Strong financial acumen and contract profitability management.
Effective conflict management and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced MS Office skills; reporting and analysis proficiency.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
