Job Description
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a production team, ensuring efficiency in packing, housekeeping, and adherence to PPE and safety regulations. Key responsibilities include monitoring production KPIs, preparing progress reports, and coordinating service delivery between departments. The role requires accurate resource allocation, attendance monitoring, training oversight, and resolving queries in collaboration with the Production Manager. Success in this role will ensure optimal production flow, compliance with operational standards, and client satisfaction.

Ensure case per hour output of 180 cases.
Maintain and achieve packing and efficiency standards (100%).
Adhere to and enforce housekeeping standards.
Compile and deliver production progress reports every 2 hours.
Ensure service delivery to Dispatch and other departments (e.g., Reach Truck to Full Case Pickers).
Accurately allocate resources to match workload for efficient production.
Ensure Receipt to Putaway cycle time is ≤ 3 hours.
Maintain production plan life cycle at ≤ 4 hours.
Monitor staff attendance and enforce PPE usage.
Oversee training and development of production staff.
Compile daily complement reports for the Production Manager.
Liaise with the Production Manager to resolve operational queries.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 (essential).
Experience
2–3 years’ experience in a Logistics, Manufacturing, Distribution, TES, or Facilities Management environment.
Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of production and logistics processes.
Ability to manage staff and allocate resources effectively.
Good organizational, reporting, and planning skills.
Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
