Job Description
The program will expose graduates to all major functions of the distribution centre, including receiving, production, and dispatch. Graduates will learn to manage staff, enforce operational processes, handle industrial relations, and ensure safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the willingness to travel nationally. Successful candidates will be equipped with the knowledge and practical experience needed to transition into an Operations Manager role in Shoprite’s supply chain environment.

How to Apply
Participate in structured training across all distribution centre functions.
Support and learn people management practices, including performance and discipline.
Gain hands-on exposure to receiving, production, and dispatch processes.
Learn planning and replenishment functions to ensure stock flow efficiency.
Understand and apply labour legislation in daily operations.
Implement and monitor SHEQ standards in distribution centre operations.
Assist managers in daily operational activities and problem resolution.
Demonstrate leadership potential to take on future managerial responsibilities.
Education
University Degree in Production, Industrial, Process, or Operating Engineering (essential).
Experience & Requirements
Willingness to work inside a distribution centre environment.
Willingness to travel nationally.
Strong numerical and verbal reasoning ability.
Working knowledge of labour legislation.
Skills & Competencies
Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects) at an intermediate level.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability, discipline, and motivation to grow into leadership.
