Position: Manager – Personalisation Quant Analytics

Role Overview

As Manager – Personalisation Quant Analytics, you will lead advanced data analytics and modeling initiatives to deliver personalised, data-driven insights that support business growth and improved customer experience. You will apply machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques on large structured and unstructured datasets to uncover patterns, optimize decision-making, and build predictive models.

This role works cross-functionally with business, data, and technology teams to integrate insights into core business systems, enabling intelligent automation and strategic decision-making.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and statistical algorithms to address complex business challenges.

  • Apply data mining, data visualization, and predictive analytics to drive personalization and customer-centric strategies.

  • Process and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data (including text, images, and streaming data).

  • Program using tools such as Python, R, and optionally Java, Matlab, or similar.

  • Work with distributed data environments and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and HDFS.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and transform analytical outputs into actionable insights.

  • Drive the integration of model outputs into production environments and operational systems.

  • Participate in the design and testing of data models, ensuring compliance with infrastructure, governance, and regulatory standards.

  • Conduct regression testing and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.

  • Educate stakeholders on the role of data science in business problem-solving and promote a culture of data-informed decision-making.

  • Lead data preparation, including cleaning, transformation, normalization, and feature engineering.

  • Ensure ongoing knowledge of best practices, industry standards, and evolving technologies in data science and analytics.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • A postgraduate qualification in the same field is highly desirable.


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Java, C#, C++, and HTML.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as QlikView, Tableau, SSIS, SSRS.

  • Familiarity with both structured and unstructured query languages and data formats including JSON.


Experience

  • 1–2 years of software development and engineering experience.

  • 3–5 years working with unstructured data and large datasets.

  • Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, data architecture, and infrastructure.

  • Strong understanding of financial services products, systems, and data flows.

  • Experience building models for use cases such as credit scoring, churn prediction, and propensity modeling.

  • Exposure to governance and regulatory frameworks related to data management.
