The Branch Manager for Tanga will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the branch. Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch performance targets and business growth.
Lead, motivate, and mentor staff to deliver superior customer service.
Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and internal procedures.
Oversee risk management practices and maintain branch security.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal departments on new products, services, and initiatives.
Analyze branch performance data and prepare reports for senior management.
Resolve complex customer issues and complaints promptly.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (required).
Banking certifications are an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in banking or financial services, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Prior experience in business banking or business development is an advantage.
Proven success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Skills & Competencies
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage profitability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and risk management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking software.
Fluency in English and Swahili (preferred).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
