Job Description
The Logistics Assistant supports end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics: preparing and following up shipping/customs documents; tracking consignments from HQ; updating stakeholders on status; arranging local transport to project sites; and maintaining complete records of shipments and clearances. The role also assists with packing/unpacking and cross-checking goods during dispatch/receipt, keeps delivery schedules current, and contributes to routine procurement/logistics reporting while executing other tasks assigned by the Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer.

How to Apply
Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments by air, sea, and land.
Liaise with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and couriers (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) for timely delivery.
Prepare and follow up customs and shipping documentation.
Track consignments from HQ and provide regular status updates.
Support packing, unpacking, and verification of goods during dispatch/receipt.
Arrange local transportation and last-mile delivery to project sites.
Maintain records of shipments, delivery schedules, and clearance documents.
Support procurement/logistics reporting requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer.

Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
2+ years’ experience in logistics, shipping, or transport coordination.
Knowledge of Tanzania customs-clearance processes is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Clear, professional communication with internal/external stakeholders.
Solid attention to detail and record-keeping.
