Job Description
The Knowledge Management and Communications Manager will support effective communication, learning, and visibility of project achievements. The role involves developing and implementing strategies, managing content production, and coordinating stakeholder engagement. The Manager will oversee the production and dissemination of communication products, ensure compliance with donor branding guidelines, and strengthen internal knowledge management systems. Additionally, the position will build staff capacity in communications and KM practices, support media relations, and represent the project in knowledge-sharing forums and events. Reporting to the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Director, with a dotted line to the Chief of Party, the Manager will collaborate closely with project teams, leadership, and external partners.

How to Apply
Develop and implement knowledge management and communications strategies.
Design and manage systems for organizing and curating project documentation.
Produce, edit, and disseminate content including reports, success stories, briefs, and presentations.
Oversee production cycles for communication materials (design, printing, and distribution).
Ensure compliance with branding and donor communication requirements.
Organize learning and sharing events via digital platforms.
Build staff capacity in writing, storytelling, photography, and presentation skills.
Engage with stakeholders, including media, partners, and donors.
Coordinate communications-related events, such as conferences, webinars, and forums.
Liaise with communications consultants, vendors, and partners for high-quality outputs.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Health, International Affairs, or a related field.
5–7 years of progressive experience in communications and knowledge management, preferably in NGOs or international development.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement KM and communication strategies.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English and Swahili.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite; digital communications experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of donor branding and compliance requirements (e.g., U.S. Department of State).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Ability to travel within Tanzania.
