Job Description
The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and public spaces, ensuring linen and toiletries are replenished, and attending to guest needs with professionalism. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, and handling minor maintenance tasks. The role demands physical stamina, an eye for cleanliness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using appropriate equipment.
Clean rooms, hallways, ceilings, walls, and restrooms.
Move furniture, turn mattresses, and clean floors (sweep, mop, wax, polish).
Dust and polish metalwork.
Collect and deliver linen and trash across floors and public areas.
Maintain and restock housekeeping carts and pantry supplies.
Attend to guest requests for towels, cribs, cots, etc.
Perform duties of a room attendant when required.
Clean all public areas according to hotel standards.
Report any damages, missing items, or maintenance issues.
Assist colleagues and respond to guest needs in a helpful and friendly manner.
Adhere to hotel dress code and work shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A degree or certificate in any relevant discipline.
Previous housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Excellent time management skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic maintenance and cleaning skills.
Professional demeanor and ability to interact positively with guests.
Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
