This role is responsible for enhancing Retail & Business Bank Payments CVP, capturing new ecosystem payments, and monitoring payment channels for availability. You will manage issues, complaints, and transactions, ensuring the efficient operation of payments systems.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Driving uptake of existing payments capabilities and achieving benefit realization targets for new payment propositions.
Overseeing payments penetration across Absa’s Retail & Business Banking base to improve convenience and achieve a 3X return on investment.
Launching, promoting, and increasing awareness of Absa’s payments propositions.
Strategy and Business Management (30%)
Meet channel targets, including values, volumes, income, and cost management.
Manage customer support services information and conduct performance reviews.
Stay informed on competitive products and services, proactively researching trends.
Assist in product and process changes, including tariff setup and collection monitoring.
Collaborate with corporate and RBB teams to address product and service performance, ideas, and best practices.
Monitor complaints and handle quality of complaint resolution.
Contribute to the development of products and procedures through continuous improvement.
Product Development & Sales (30%)
Execute efficient product pricing strategies.
Assist in implementing product strategies and monitor industry trends.
Conduct customer and competitor research and drive cross-selling activities.
Customer Service Management (25%)
Provide specialist support to internal contacts and users.
Strengthen customer relationships and promote Absa Group’s services.
Prepare internal communications on policies and procedures.
Coordinate customer relationship management with key payments partners.
Analyze service trends and resolve technical customer queries.
Achieve service level targets as outlined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Contribute to system and service improvements, including risk management.
Compliance, Governance, and Control (15%)
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies and standards.
Identify and mitigate risks relevant to the role.
Perform other duties as assigned by the bank.
