Job Description
Coordinating the evaluation of the implementation of Protected Area Management Plans; facilitating the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on wildlife conservation; mainstreaming and integrating wildlife conservation issues into the policies, plans, and programs of MDAs and Local Governments; and leading the negotiation and implementation of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) related to wildlife conservation.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of policies, laws, standards, guidelines, plans, strategies, programs, and projects on wildlife conservation.
Coordinate the evaluation of the implementation of Protected Area Management Plans.
Facilitate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information on wildlife conservation.
Mainstream and integrate wildlife conservation issues into the policies, plans, and programs of MDAs and Local Governments.
Lead the negotiation and implementation of Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) on wildlife conservation.
Facilitate the implementation of regional and international collaboration on wildlife conservation and management.
Monitor statutory agencies, trust agencies, civil society, and the private sector to ensure compliance with established wildlife conservation standards.
Lead the preparation of departmental work plans, budgets, and reports.
Support the monitoring and evaluation of policies, laws, standards, and guidelines on wildlife conservation.
Develop national, regional, and international collaborative programs and partnership initiatives with civil society and the private sector on wildlife conservation and sustainable development.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
