Analyze all the monthly reconciliation reports prepared by the various officers of the Bank and prepare a reconciliation status report to be submitted to Management.
Ensure the general ledger integrity through monitoring the utilization of suspense accounts and resolution of non-compliant transactions with the policy guided time frame.
Ensure full reconciliation of all the systems utilized by the Bank to process transactions e.g. Oracle Financials, Sopra, Core Banking system and any other transaction processing systems,
Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency.
Assist in the development and implementation of new reconciliation tools, systems, and processes.
Responsible for the preparation and filing of accurate tax returns (VAT, withholding taxes, Excise duty etc.) in compliance with applicable tax regulations and guidelines
Process vendor/service provider invoices as per the applicable internal policy guidelines and processes and perform reconciliation of vendor accounts were required.
Monitor asset acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and impairments to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Develop and maintain efficient accounting processes for asset tracking, management and reporting.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration is required
Professional Qualifications like ACCA, CPAU – Level 2 are an added advantage
Experience
A Minimum of 1 Year Experience in Financial Accounting, Taxation Management, Stakeholder Management, Banking Operations, Risk Management and Digital skills.
