Job Description
The role sets the medium- and long-term optimisation agenda for production and maintenance; implements operational excellence initiatives; identifies, motivates, and delivers capital projects; reduces system losses using CI tools (e.g., RCA, LOP); partners with Group counterparts to share and embed best practices; owns manufacturing and laboratory information systems for modelling, reconciliation and performance monitoring; builds people capability; governs technical standards (MOPS, TOPS, specs, policies); and drives rigorous performance management aligned to safety, quality, cost and sustainability targets.

How to Apply
Develop and execute in-country manufacturing (production & maintenance) optimisation strategy.
Lead CI programs to deliver product cost/quality targets; resolve chronic losses and bottlenecks.
Identify, build business cases for, and deliver capital projects on time and to economics/community outcomes.
Analyse reliability, recovery, efficiency and cost KPIs; implement RCA/LOP and other best-practice tools.
Drive cross-entity synergies; share standards, frameworks, quick wins and lessons learned.
Provide expert support on production & reliability issues; coach site teams.
Plan supply-side with S&OP; ensure compliance to plans and timely course-correction.
Own manufacturing & lab information systems; ensure high-quality data for optimisation decisions.
Establish/track KPIs; report performance, flag risks, and ensure enabling systems/processes are in place.
Build a strong technical talent pipeline; coach, mentor and train teams.
Govern technical standards (MOPS, TOPS, process specs, policies) and compliance.
Manage key relationships with maintenance & engineering service providers.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Business/Financial qualification is an advantage.
8–10 years’ experience in sugar manufacturing (production and/or maintenance).
Familiarity with KSCL/Group systems (e.g., SAP) is an advantage.
Strong data analysis skills; solid business acumen; ability to anticipate and respond to change.
Proven leadership and people development track record; inquisitive, results-driven, high integrity.
