Job Description
The Dispatchers will be responsible for coordinating and managing dispatch operations for cement and clinker products, ensuring accurate documentation, timely loading, efficient truck movement, and smooth distribution processes. The role supports logistics efficiency, customer satisfaction, safety, and operational excellence within the Moroto plant dispatch operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities including loading schedules and truck dispatch operations.
- Verify customer orders, dispatch instructions, and ensure accuracy of quantities, weights, and delivery details.
- Prepare and manage dispatch documentation including delivery notes, invoices, weighbridge tickets, and tracking records.
- Liaise with logistics, warehouse, production, and security teams to ensure smooth dispatch flow.
- Monitor truck turnaround time and ensure efficient vehicle movement to minimize delays.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures during loading and dispatch operations.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, logs, and system entries for reporting and audit purposes.
- Support customer service activities by providing timely dispatch updates and resolving dispatch-related queries.
- Report dispatch challenges, operational issues, and recommend improvements.
- Uphold company policies and compliance standards at all times.
