Job Description
The Data Quality Lead will oversee the design and implementation of data quality initiatives across Jubilee Insurance’s operations. This involves conducting regular audits and profiling of data, performing root cause analysis, developing cleansing workflows, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). The role requires driving the adoption of master data management (MDM), maintaining documentation of rules and processes, and providing regular reports to stakeholders. The Data Quality Lead will also provide training and awareness programs to foster a culture of data stewardship, ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement strategies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Operational
Conduct regular audits and assessments of data quality.
Profile datasets to identify anomalies, patterns, and inconsistencies.
Investigate root causes of data quality issues and implement corrective measures.
Develop and execute data cleansing workflows.
Define and monitor KPIs and data quality metrics.
Lead the implementation of Master Data Management (MDM).
Document rules, processes, and remediation efforts.
Provide training to staff on data quality best practices.
Corporate Governance
Ensure compliance with Kenyan laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Establish mitigation measures against emerging business risks.
People & Culture
Promote ethical practices, good corporate citizenship, and inclusivity.
Support initiatives that improve organizational culture.
Develop personalized career and development plans.
Key Deliverables:
Data quality audit reports.
Remediation strategies and improvement plans.
Documented data quality rules and procedures.
Monitoring reports on KPIs and quality metrics.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
Certifications: CDMP, CDGP, or CIGO (added advantage).
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in data quality or related roles.
Experience working in multi-cloud environments (Azure, Oracle OCI).
Hands-on use of governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Compliance Manager, Profisee, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG.
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL and Python for data mining.
Experience with Power BI.

Attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across teams.
