Job Description
The QA Engineer will develop and execute test cases for web and mobile applications, perform end-to-end testing on financial transactions, and ensure API integrations function smoothly across payment gateways and messaging systems. The role requires a strong background in fintech testing standards, regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001), and experience in both manual and automated testing. The QA Engineer will also play a critical role in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and ensuring continuous quality improvements in line with industry best practices.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for fintech applications (web & mobile).
Conduct functional, regression, performance, security, and API testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or TestRail.
Collaborate with developers to design test strategies for complex fintech solutions.
Implement and manage automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
Carry out security testing focusing on fraud prevention, data integrity, and authentication.
Work with DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
Ensure fintech regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001).
Perform end-to-end testing of financial transactions and APIs for seamless integrations.
Conduct root cause analysis and partner with development teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Strong exposure to fintech products, payment processing systems, and APIs.
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases for test validation.
Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Bitbucket).
Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
Knowledge of security and compliance testing within the fintech sector.
