Job Description
The Data Protection Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the organization’s data protection framework. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing relationships with data protection authorities, and overseeing incident management in case of breaches. The officer will lead internal audits, provide compliance reports, and collaborate with regulatory teams on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) measures. In addition, the role involves developing anti-fraud strategies, managing reported fraud cases, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to regulators. The position requires strong leadership, regulatory expertise, and the ability to engage stakeholders across the organization.

How to Apply
Oversee compliance with data protection laws and manage relations with Data Protection Authorities.
Develop internal data protection policies, guidelines, and training to foster compliance.
Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and monitor remediation measures.
Lead investigations into data breaches and ensure timely incident reporting.
Perform internal audits and prepare quarterly compliance reports for regulators.
Monitor adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks, including AML policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments, monitor suspicious transactions, and coordinate investigations to prevent money laundering.
Develop and implement fraud prevention measures across the organization.
Manage fraud case investigations and ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met.
Advise management on compliance risks, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data protection, cybersecurity, privacy management, fraud and investigation, or compliance.
Professional certifications in Data Protection or Privacy Law are an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to data protection, AML, and compliance.
Excellent analytical and risk management skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven integrity and ability to manage sensitive data responsibly.
