Job Description
The Data Engineering Summer Associate will collaborate with commercial, operational, and engineering teams to manage and refine the internal data systems that inform strategic decisions. The role includes developing dashboards, validating and cleaning data, automating workflows, supporting infrastructure, and performing ad hoc analysis. Interns will contribute directly to projects that have global health impact, with mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards
Assist in data collection, cleaning, and validation to ensure high data quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data needs and reporting goals
Automate data workflows and enhance existing data pipelines
Support the upkeep of scalable and reliable data storage systems
Contribute to ad hoc data analysis projects for strategic insights

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
Experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar data processing and analytics tools
Familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus
Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and data quality
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Eagerness to learn and contribute to impactful projects
Passion for mission-driven work and global health equity
