Job Description
The Senior Backend Developer will play a critical role in designing and building backend systems that power BURN’s products and platforms. Using Go, the developer will create efficient and scalable services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in backend architecture. The candidate must have a strong foundation in concurrent programming, distributed systems, microservices, and containerization. As a technical leader, they will also provide mentorship to junior team members and participate in peer code reviews to uphold high development standards. Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps practices will be crucial for success in this role.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Go
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback
Troubleshoot and debug software to optimize performance
Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices
Mentor junior developers and promote a learning culture
Participate in DevOps processes and CI/CD pipeline implementations

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of software development experience, with a focus on Go
Strong understanding of scalable systems, concurrent programming, and distributed architecture
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization
Proficiency in Git and version control best practices
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
Additional knowledge of Python, Java, or C# is a plus
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
